Johnnie and Margaret's love for Czech music began years ago before they met at a Fourth of July Polka dance at the National Hall in Ennis in 1955. They were married August 11,1956. As fate would have it they are still "dancing" to polka music every Sunday morning.
You are currently listening to the theme song for The Sunday Morning Polka Show. In 1964 Raymond Zapletal suggested Johnnie use the Dona Polka, an instrumental by Ernie Kucera, as his opening and closing song. Mr. Kucera was very honored that his song was chosen for the show. He generously gave Johnnie several copies of the song on 45 speed vinyl record.
